Best Weight Lifting Gloves For Women

1. RIMSports -Gym Gloves For Powerlifting

These gloves made by RIMSports are multifunctional and can be used both for gym and cycling or biking. Their primary purpose is to protect your hands from blisters and calluses. For the most part, they do fine, but the thumb area could use a bit more padding, which can be felt during heavier lifts.

Unfortunately, these gloves have no wrist support straps to enhance your grip strength, which is a big minus. This is a very nice looking pair of gloves, and they come in different colors and sizes.

They are really lightweight and breathable, and your hands will not cook inside them, which is important when cycling in the sun. They are made of leather and spandex and are can be hand washable. While the manufacturer claims how these gloves will last for years, the reality is entirely different - they are not that durable.

What We Like

  • A multitude of colors and sizes
  • Multipurpose - cycling, biking, gym
  • Breathable and lightweight

What We Don't Like

  • No wrist support
  • Poor thumb padding
  • Not that durable

Bottom line: Very nice looking gloves, suitable for different purposes. They could be more durable though, but overall, they are fine.

2 Trideer Double Protection Weight Lifting Gloves

Unlike the previous ones, these gloves are meant to be used for weightlifting only and are not suitable for cycling.

Trideer made these gloves with Double Protection - padding on both your palm and the back of your hands, with padding on each finger, to prevent blisters. These weightlifting gloves are quite breathable, which will reduce sweating, making your workouts more comfortable.

The grip support will help you during heaviest lifts, and if you suffer from painful wrists. These gloves come in two colors - black/gold and black/pink - and are not exactly the best looking. Also, the padding should be thicker, and the overall quality a bit better, they will not last.

What We Like

  • Proper weightlifting gloves
  • Padding on fingers, palm and the back of your hand
  • Grip support

What We Don't Like

  • Does not mix well, leaves powder lumps when blended

Bottom line: We like the grip support and the feel of these gloves. They could use more color options, and a visual redesign, and a bit thicker padding. However, considering the price, these are a good pick.

3. Contraband Pink Label

If you plan to wear your lifting gloves as we have recommended (only for the set when you use most weight) the Contraband Pink Label gloves are for you. These gloves are very easy to remove, because they have quick removal finger tabs, on the middle and ring fingers.

Removing most other gloves several times during a workout is not only a hassle, but can also damage them. With Contraband gloves, you do not have to worry about that.  A mesh top will provide enough breathability to reduce sweating.

These gloves have grip lock padding which will increase friction, resulting in a much better grip. However, they don't have wrist straps to strengthen the grip even further.

What We Like

  • Quick remove tabs
  • Grip lock pads
  • Breathable

What We Don't Like

  • No wrist straps

Bottom line: An excellent pair of gloves, with unique, quick-removal tabs, excellent comfort and breathability. If they only had wrist support straps, they would be flawless.

4. Fit Active Sports Ventilated Weight Lifting Gloves - Editors'Choice

One look at these gloves will be enough to see why they are a great pick. These gloves have an open top, allowing your skin to breathe, and tackling a couple of main problems most weight lifting gloves carry - sweating and odor.

With an open top, the heat will never get trapped inside, and your hands will stay dry. Less perspiration and odor will result in less washing thus longer lifespan, making these gloves an excellent value for money. The only part that is supposed to be covered, the palm, and the bottom of your fingers, is adequately protected and will remain blister and calluses free.

The palm area has special rubber padding, designed to increase traction, allowing you better control during exercises. Furthermore, these gloves have a quality wrist support strap, that will allow you to push for that personal best, without fearing that your grip strength will fail you. The only downside is the look, since there are no colors to choose from, only the main one, black.

What We Like

  • Open top, fully ventilated
  • Wrist wraps
  • Excellent traction
  • Long-lasting

What We Don't Like

  • Only one color

Bottom line: An excellent pair of gloves. The open top design will reduce sweating and bad odor. Outstanding traction and grip support will improve your workouts. All in all, these are terrific gym gloves.

In this article, we have tried to explain why you should consider using weight lifting gloves, giving you benefits and drawbacks of wearing them. Then, we have presented you with four pairs of weightlifting gloves that we think are the best for women.

If we have to decide which one is the best of all, it would be Fit Active Sports Ventilated Weight Lifting Gloves. These gloves have all that you need - ventilation, wrist support, traction, and will serve you for quite a while.

That's it from us, gloves or no gloves, just keep working hard and be strong!
